Xidai Mill Sharing

The project is located in the Hutong of the Beijing West Grinding Factory, a small courtyard originally known as Ruihua Dyestuff in the Republic of China.DAGA Architects transformed this historic traditional courtyard into an attractive long-term rental apartment.
The apartment is connected by three yards.The first courtyard is a public space such as kitchen, dining room and bar. It uses metal plate to retain the original brick wall of the building, creating a temperament contrast between the metal sheet and the old brick wall.
The second and third yards are apartment rooms, built on the basis of the original old buildings.The design of this area is in the form of a glass box, adding light and human movement to make the whole space full of vitality.
