The design of the Sengkang General + Community Hospital aims to fulfill its vision to be the best regional healthcare provider for the North-East region of Singapore. It aims to create a leading integrated medical facility that truly harmonizes the acute hospital and the community hospital, to promote efficient use of resources by encouraging the sharing of facilities and collaboration of minds. It wishes to break away from the notion of a sterile medical center, but instead have a more holistic approach to health and wellness. It wishes to be a sensory experience that promotes healing for everyone, integrating into the heartland of Sengkang and creating spaces and places for the community.
