Savoir Resort

Located in Xixi National Wetland Park in Hangzhou, China, Savoir Resort is renovated from old houses in regions south of the Yangtze River. In the name of pursuing a ‘hidden world’, Savoir Resort creates customized and pleasant resort experience.
The windows in traditional Chinese architecture are small due to sunstroke prevention and warmth retention; therefore, they often require candles to assist in lighting. After the renovation, with the increased surface area of the windows and the clear window glass which replaces the original walls, views of Xixi enter rooms directly and the absolute boundaries inside and outside the rooms are broken; thus, the aim of building a hidden world has been accomplished.
The interior design focuses on the fusion of buildings and views; for the layout and volume of each Villa, there are various design details and layouts of functions. The design of outdoor terrace and hot water bathing pool brings visitors closer to the wetland.
