Qingdao Oriental Metropolis Grand Theater

Qingdao “Oriental Cinema” Grand Theater is located in the central business district in the west coast economic development zone in Huangdao district, Qingdao city, Shandong Province. The total construction area is about 24,000 square meters, including a 1970-seat theater and the corresponding supporting services spaces. The facade of the building is inspired by the local concept “silver snail besides the blue sea”, which is the most common thing at the beach. The façade theme gives a familiar intimacy and provides unconventional rich cultural connotation. After the completion of the Grand Theater, the grand opening of the International Film Festival and the red carpet show will be held with the co-organization of Oscar Academy to bring an extraordinary visual feast to the audience.
