Nanjing Itrip Fuying Building

Fuying Building is a start-up project by Industrial Technology Research Park in Jiangbei New District of Nanjing, which appears to be two L-shaped buildings configured around the courtyard. The building design embraces the idea of human scale and attempts to further create spaces that can promote interaction and relationship between people, architecture and landscape.
The façade design uses an addition and subtraction technique to reshape the volume of the building, introducing level play and interesting bumpy textures. Within the courtyard lies a ‘floating’ meeting pavilion with a 180° panoramic landscape view; its unique organic style makes it an attraction of the park.
The building uses a variety of dynamic spatial design with the emphasis on permeability and accessibility as key. This is carried throughout with the careful design of a series of public spaces such as the overhead buildings, sunken garden, sky bridge, sky gardens and roof gardens, to create a vibrant shared interactive office community.
