Indigo Hotel, Hsinchu, Taiwan

The project base where Xinzhu INDIGO is located, was originally a business hotel. Before starting the design, it has been discussed and agreed together with the client that the goal of this renovation case is aiming to create “User Experience” for the hotel. Therefore, the lighting design mainly focuses on polishing the details. Through the nature of different zones, the space has been renovated by lighting, creating a dramatic experience for the customers. The technical challenge of this hotel renovation case is that during less than 90 days of the construction period, all the public areas and hotel rooms has been renovated and optimized. The whole renovation has made the original business hotel into a brand new trendy modern hotel. Based on the budget and construction period, the lighting layout has been adjusted and the traditional light source has been replaced with LED fixtures. All has been done under the conditions of not changing the space pattern and not reconfiguring the electrical wiring. In addition, dimming system has been integrated through the design to create low-light level and dramatic atmosphere, bringing a whole brand new Xinzhu INDIGO brand image.
