Greentown Zhoushan Changzhi Island Town Center Phase I

Located at the center of Changzhi Island, the place is to be created as a new central heart and gateway of Changzhi Island and the core of a livable ideal town. The intention behind the design is to create an iconic, safe, walkable, varied, interesting and vibrate mixed use environment which follows the spirit of a traditional European town that addresses the creation of a sense of neighborhood ness through reasonable integration of different uses. Combining with multi-function ranging from residential, commercial, hotel, service apartment, culture and leisure, the service range covers Changzhi Island and Lincheng New District mainly also expands to the whole Zhoushan Island. Following the north-south axis which connects Lincheng Bridge to the town, the plot is naturally divided into two, the west end and the east end. The design is to keep continuous open space stretching from the west to the east, facing the lake to accommodate various activities. The west end is mainly for residential with a public park in the front. A civic square is created that terminates the north-south axis facing the lake and the green space in the south. The east end is mainly for major restaurants, hotel, office with a small number of residential, a proper mixture of residential and commercial that draws an image of a lively urban center.
