PANORAMA-TIMELESS IMPRINTS OF CIVILIZATION

Through precise lighting, the “Grand View of Heaven and Earth” exhibition creates a mysterious, immersive cultural atmosphere. The hall is predominantly dark. In the Bagua Revelation Area, only a single floor-to-ceiling vertical beam of light illuminates the center; the rest fades into near darkness, like a black hole in a time tunnel. This instantly transports visitors back to ancient times, focusing solely on the relics. In the “Pure Thoughts” section, light casts Buddha shadows behind sacred relics. At the corridor’s end, the Ming dynasty Yongle-commissioned thangka of Yama Dharmaraja emerges—golden threads shimmering softly in the dim light. The effect evokes a solemn, transcendent serenity, as if drawing visitors across time and space.
