LIGHTING DESIGN FOR PHASE II OF COLUMBIA CIRCLE

Shanghai Upper West Corner · Phase II, located in the Xinhua Road historical area, is a deep urban renewal of the former Shanghai Institute of Biological Products site. Following a “preservation & regeneration” approach, it revitalizes heritage buildings with modern functions, creating a 48,000㎡ open campus integrating creative offices, culture, and commerce. The lighting design, guided by the “Borderless Community, Urban Jungle” concept, uses recessive illumination to blur boundaries between architecture, nature, and people. It crafts a relaxed, layered nightscape that enhances spatial order, activates neighborhood vitality, and establishes the project as a beloved cultural destination and a benchmark in urban lighting renewal.
