SHENZHEN ADEN HOTEL
Aden Hotel Shenzhen Nanshan is a benchmark urban renewal project in the core area of Shekou, Shenzhen. It was formerly the Ming Wah International Conference Center, a building embodying the memory of China’s reform and opening-up. Centered on the design philosophy of “Embracing Mountains and Sea”, the project inherits the maritime heritage of China Merchants Group and draws on marine and cruise elements. Its streamlined curved facade echoes the mountain‑sea urban context. The renovation balances historical inheritance and contemporary functions. Through six standard modules, it achieves functional reconstruction and facade renewal, activates the urban business district, and revitalizes the value of the old building. Adopting a low‑intervention approach, the design activates the urban node, integrates local culture, ecological landscape and high‑end business‑travel functions, creating a coastal landmark with historical significance and international quality.
