YIBIN HIGH-SPEED RAIL STATION GATEWAY DEVELOPMENT (YIBIN MIX-C / YIYUN DIGITAL ART CENTER / YIBIN ECO-TECH EPARK)

This project transforms Yibin Station from a conventional transit hub into a sub-center of the Chengdu-Chongqing One-Hour Metropolitan Circle. Using station-city integration, it offers a seamless pedestrian experience that preserves the hilly terrain and waterways, integrating corporate headquarters, hotels, serviced apartments, a central park, an art museum, and commercial and cultural streets. It is Western China’s first TOD+POD development, providing immediate access to retail and parkland directly from the station. The plan honors the bamboo landscape and Huang Tingjian’s “Ode to Bamboo,” weaving natural streams into pedestrian routes. Architectural forms inspired by interconnected bamboo roots feature low-rise structures undulating like hills and towers swaying gracefully against the skyline, creating harmony between nature and the built environment. The project draws visitors from across Southwest China and serves as a vibrant hub for science and technology innovation firms.
