CHENGDU JIAOZI COURTYARD TOWERS

Located in the core high-rise cluster of Chengdu’s Financial Center, Chengdu Jiaozi Courtyard Towers sits adjacent to the Tianfu IFC Twin Towers and Jiaozi ecological park. The mixed-use development comprises workspaces, retail, and a conference center. In contrast to the surrounding nightscape dominated by conventional outline lighting and aggressive media facades, this project chose a lighting strategy of ‘restraint, integration, and contemplative presence’. Guided by the philosophy of ‘roundness in spirit and squareness in form’, with lighting as media, the design utilizes precise color temperature zoning and a modern luminous translation of traditional Sichuan bamboo-weaving textures. Honoring vernacular cultural heritage, it establishes a distinct nocturnal architectural identity, offering a quiet respite from the urban clamor while coexisting harmoniously with the adjacent landmark towers.
