ORIENTAL VILLA

The project is situated on the north bank of the Shiqiao Waterway in Panyu, Guangzhou. It represents a contemporary Lingnan architectural experiment deeply rooted in the regional climatic DNA. Guided by the design philosophy of “A Contemporary Long Scroll Blending Lingnan Landscape”, the scheme adopts a forest-accompanied dwelling strategy for this narrow and elongated site. Native trees and vegetation are well preserved to enable harmonious coexistence and integrated growth between architecture and nature. It pursues the aesthetic of “secluded amid misty waters”, with building volumes subtly concealed among rippling water and layered foliage, seamlessly blending into the natural surroundings. Striking a delicate balance between locality and modernity, seclusion and elegance, casual comfort and ceremonial order, the design unfolds three layered living conceptions like the beginning, development and conclusion of a classical scroll, delivering a cohesive and flowing spatial charm throug
