TCC DAKA RENEWABLE RESOURCE RECYCLING CENTER

TCC DAKA Renewable Resource Recycling Center demonstrates the connections between culture, industry, and the natural environment. Located next to an operational cement factory, the development, includes a waste-to-energy plant, a visitors’ center, a public park, and Taiwan’s largest seed conservation center.
The complex was designed to educate the public about sustainable futures, with windows into the resource recovery process, exhibition spaces, and hands-on workshops. Instead of hiding the materials processing, visitors are invited to engage with the topic and consider it alongside the natural beauty of the site. Processing can be observed at close quarters, and a series of landscaped spaces—including a collection of rare ferns—put nature at the forefront.
This is a new cultural destination that prioritizes community engagement and social responsibility. A multi-function venue, an outdoor amphitheatre, a water garden, and a retail village invite the public interaction with on-site.
