CHINA EUROPE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SCHOOL (CEIBS) RECEPTION

The CEIBS Reception Desk Design is a purpose-driven ESG initiative, entirely funded by the GEMBA 2022 cohort. This philanthropic model transforms a spatial upgrade into a sustainable alumni legacy.

Inspired by I.M. Pei, the redesign blends modern minimalism with traditional Chinese elements, guided by existing campus materiality. The highly functional layout includes a custom counter, dedicated storage, a pantry, and a private lounge.

Reflecting core ESG values, the material palette pairs elegance with durability. Utilizing low-carbon components like flamed granite, solid cherry wood, stainless steel, and opaque glass minimizes environmental impact. Unique elements, such as water-inspired ripple glass and oxidized copper, create a culturally resonant space that delivers immense social impact for the campus community.
