SHENZHEN GEMDALE RADIANCE MANSION

In the high-density urban fabric of Shenzhen, natural space is scarce. Guided by Frank Lloyd Wright’s philosophy — “The best design always comes from nature”, we draw inspiration from forests and valleys. Extracting the layered texture of woodland and the depth of ravines, we recreate an immersive mountain forest experience amid skyscrapers.
Located in Longhua, Shenzhen, the project is defined as a Suspended Vertical Garden — an elevated natural community. Leveraging vertical dimensions, it integrates forest ecology into high-rise architecture to achieve vertical coexistence of building and woodland.
Taking “Forest Valley” as the spatial narrative thread, it unfolds an experiential sequence: Entrance, Woodland Traverse, Stream Discovery, Floating Leisure, Valley Ground, Tree Canopy, Cliff Edge and Cloud Summit. Spaces shift from public to private, ascending from ground level to high altitude with undulating layers. Every turn unveils a natural tableau.
