TIANSHENG CITY CULTURAL – TOURISM VILLAGE

Spanning millennia of Wanzhou’s history, the Tiancheng City project is situated in Zhoujiaba, Wanzhou District, Chongqing, adjacent to the nationally protected Tiancheng City Ruins. As a flagship cultural tourism initiative, it centers on preserving historical continuity by reviving Wanzhou’s legacy as “the confluence of all rivers and merchants.” The development reimagines the Yuan-Song dynastic urban layout featuring “mountain-top fortresses and foothill market streets,” creating a tripartite model integrating cultural landmarks, immersive commerce, and nighttime economy. Through its three-dimensional hillside commercial complex, this project reshapes northeastern Chongqing’s cultural tourism landscape while pioneering innovative approaches for linear heritage site conservation and development.
