Tianjin Joy City has been built for 14 years, but its curtain walls have aged, and its lighting fixtures have broken, losing their former charm at night. This renovation injects new vitality into the building through the change in lighting. Technically, the principle of “utilizing the old” is adopted, utilizing existing pipelines, control systems, etc. The glass body of the “rose flower” is replaced with a special stretched light distribution and constant power lamp, which can illuminate three sides with only one lamp in one frame. Paired with facade lighting, the daily lighting gradient is presented through programming, like petals blooming, and the lighting is as dynamic as raindrops; Festivals change with the city’s mood, either like bubbles rising, or elegant like auroras stretching.
