XUHUI VANKE CENTER PHASE III, XUHUI CENTRAL CITY
After 12 years of development, Shanghai Xuhui Vanke Center embodies the “Midtown Forest” concept, integrating three phases into a 720,000-sqm complex. Adjacent to Shanghai South Railway Station hub, the project employs a POD (Park × TOD) model to heal urban fragmentation through “efficient connectivity” strategies. A three-dimensional pedestrian network interconnects commercial spaces, offices, and the Green Axis Park, while “nature co-creation” tactics implement layered ecological zones and mixed woodland planting for low-maintenance, sustainable landscapes. Emphasizing “human-centric public spaces for enduring resilience,” the design combats extreme climate challenges through daily-use oriented planning, balancing urban renewal with ecological resilience to reshape sustainable urban fabric.
