BONN UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL PARENT-CHILD CENTER

The Parent-Child Center of the Bonn University Hospital is located in an oasis in Venusberg, next to the Bonn University Medical Center. The initial idea was to create a new, harmonized and functionally independent building in both spaces. The themes of vitality and health are expressed in a clear and modern architectural language, characterized by a lively, dynamic and bright architecture.
The Parent-Child Center of the Bonn University Hospital takes into account the conditions of the site and the surrounding buildings. On the one hand it adapts perfectly to the reasonable building distances of the neighbouring medical buildings and thus defines the building’s position on a multi-level topographical route. On the other hand, it makes the best possible use of the surrounding natural environment and hilly terrain, so that the hospital is naturally situated in the harmonious surroundings of the forest.
