SHANGHAI DUOLUN ROAD RENEWAL
The Duolun Road Urban Regeneration Project, located in Shanghai’s Hongkou District, revitalizes a historic cultural hub with 223,742 sqm of mixed-use development. Designed by Woods Bagot and ERA-Co, it blends heritage preservation with modern commerce, featuring TOD offices (Phase 1) and a cultural-commercial quarter integrating historic lanes with contemporary towers (Phase 2). The masterplan extends the original L-shaped pedestrian street, enhancing connectivity. Branded “XUAN Duolun”, it merges avant-garde culture with indie retail, cafes, and galleries. The design respects the area’s “fishbone” alley layout, adding public spaces and sightlines. Set for completion in 2028, it will reignite the district’s literary legacy as a vibrant urban landmark.
