CENTRAL NAKHON PATHOM

Central Nakhon Pathom is a shopping mall in Nakhon Pathom province on the western Neighbouring of Bangkok, Thailand. It is rich in cultural context as the iconic of the town ‘Phra Pathom Chedi (Pagoda)’. The Chedi is a reminder of the long vanished Dvaravati civilization that once flourished here and by tradition Nakhon Pathom is where Buddhism first came to Thailand. This character of Phra Pathom Chedi becomes the main elements of the project, not only the architecture, but also landscape pattern (Curvilinear design), special material (Terracotta paving), and vertical element detail (Curb, planter, seat) in a modern contemporary way. The impressiveness of many agricultures in this province enhances the character of lush planting, orchard of Pomelo, Native flowering garden, and Vegetable Garden, become an idea of creating theme of spaces in the project include the Hanging pod as a symbolic character from the scaffolding in agriculture way of life.
