HUMEN HIGH-SPEED RAILWAY STATION EXPANSION PROJECT
Humen High-speed Railway Station is the third largest high-speed railway hub in terms of passenger volume in the Greater bay area. It is a comprehensive transportation hub consisting of an Existing High-speed Railway Station, two newly Expanded Waiting Hall, a Transfer Center, an Intercity Railway Station, a Metro Station, a Bus Terminal, and a Taxi Bay. At the same time, the project continues to expand mixed-use developments including office towers, residential community and shopping mall around the hub by the connection of a 40000㎡ urban Platform. The original Station was a county-level station built in 2013 with the maximum capacity of 500 people. As of 2019, the passenger volume has reached 60000 per day. The capacity was far behind the needs, so this project was launched. It is also known as the first high-speed rail station renewal project in the GBA that does not stop rail way operation during the construction.
