Terrain is the foundation of landscape and the skeleton of space. Meandering rivers and steep mountains are not uncommon in Chongqing, what is rare is the waterfront, the native mountains and valleys and the buildings. In the design of this project, we retained the original rock walls and steep mountains, and converted the large height difference and river valley cracks, which were originally unfavorable factors in the landscape, into the biggest highlight of the project. In the gap between the original ecological landscape with a height difference of 40 meters and the undulating buildings, a “forest in the valley” is placed, and more than 100 acres of forest in the original beach park is infiltrated into the natural style of the settlement.
