HONGKONG LAND CENTURY LAND CHONGQING

Century Land Chongqing is a comprehensive urban development incorporating commercial, office, residential, and community facilities within the city’s core. The project seeks to inspire vibrant scenarios, enhance the city’s sociocultural image, and thus investigate new urban settlement proposals. The design transforms the terraced topography into a “floating oasis”. Gestures of stacking, dropping, and staggering generate clusters of dispersed volumes, resulting in an organic architectural form in response to the unique urban morphology and magic “Mountain City” essence. The 3D-integrated pedestrian system combines functional and landscape values, efficiently connecting diverse programs while enriching the spatial experience. Different building envelopes are endowed with distinct materials and special techniques to convey diverse architectural expressions, thereby aggregating into a holistic and dynamic urban environment to celebrate the contemporary aesthetic of a thriving city.
