Among the old areas of the city, the university campus is a unique area. Such old campuses have their unique characteristics: good location, strong atmosphere which a campus always has and rich cultural deposits. However, there are also characteristics such as old buildings and dilapidated sites. If such old campuses can be renewed with quality, the whole area can be revitalized, the cultural deposits of the place can be preserved and promoted, and the people living nearby can be benefited.
In the design process, the three elements as “Time, Space and Users” are adopted to make the site transformed from a campus scene to a work and life scene, and then energized again. By this right way, each element can be extended naturally in the new scene so that the organic combination between the old campus site and the sci- tech park is realized, which also becomes a kind of urban renewal by quality.
