The project is located within the core of the West Hongqiao Business Zone. The area is planned as a comprehensive Hub centered around the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center. The concept of a Sponge City is employed to weave landscape elements through the newly created business district and establish linkages between business, hospitality, exhibition, leisure, entertainment, and residential communities. CNNC West Hongqiao is comprised of six parcels that complement the overall urban design strategy. Atkins has integrated CNNC’s corporate headquarters, grade A office, hotels, museum, residential, retail and entertainment into a low carbon mixed use development.
