The design focuses on the creation of a spatial environment dominated by children’s experience, and we propose the design concept of “moss garden bonsai” by integrating the city, site, function and form. We superimposed different functional zones to form a “Terrace Garden” with low south and high north.
Underneath the terrace is a three-dimensional compound of multi-themed children’s colonies; above the terrace is a rooftop outdoor activity area, creating an open space for children’s mixed-age interaction and shared activities.
The multi-layered landscape system creates a friendly and open multi-dimensional landscape in the surrounding space of high-rise buildings; and the children’s playful scenes in the Moss Garden become a lively and moving element in the city.
