LAWRENCE J. ELLISON INSTITUTE FOR TRANSFORMATIVE MEDICINE

Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine is centered on innovative cancer research focusing on changing the soil, so that cancer can’t grow. The design supports this transformation, fostering collaboration among scientists and thought leaders to inspire discovery. It merges research and treatment spaces with areas for interaction, promoting innovation and transforming patient wellness in a nature-centric environment. The 3-story atrium centralizes open, transparent vertical circulation, encouraging intersecting paths of researchers, patients, and physicians for greater treatment impact. Achieving the Institute’s goal to establish an interdisciplinary research center, it houses modern labs and community environments where doctors and scientists interact, positively impacting patients’ lives.
