Based on the local cultural characteristics of Shaoxing, the traditional elements of Jiangnan are extracted, and the folding fan and oil paper umbrella are deconstructed with modern architectural language. Through the use of materials and some design techniques, it perfectly explains the design concept of folding fan, the beauty of folding and rhythm, and oil paper umbrella, the beauty of transparency and skeleton. The orderly arrangement of perforated metal plates on the folding surface explains the beauty of folding rhythm of the folding fan; Double curtain wall, suspended floating perforated metal plate and ordered keel structure perfectly deduce the beauty of transparent skeleton of oil paper umbrella. The corner warping forms the symbolic design elements, combined with the cantilevered metal curtain wall, forming the characteristic entrance gray space.
