West Bund Museum

West Bund Museum is located at the Shanghai West Bank Cultural & Art Corridor, along the Huangpu river. It is designed by the world-renowned architect David Chipperfield and is planned to host various exhibitions in collaboration with Centre Pompidou for over 5 years. The museum project aims at “Let China see the world, and let the world observe China”, followed an open and exchanging mindset it initiates a brand-new cultural dialogue between China and the rest of the world. Under such background, the lighting design will follow three basic principles as below:

Appeal of the light: based on publicity and international standards
Language of the light: hide the light source while emphasizing design expressions
Transmission of the light: invite the pubic to participant and experience contemporary art
