The overall concept of NChangWave was proposed in the architectural design of the comprehensive commercial project of Bird Island, Nanchang, which was composed of three layers of elements: the landmark spiral tower symbolizing sky, the one-storey commercial building symbolizing earth, and the site space symbolizing water. In the face of the lack of foreign design of Chinese cultural background, the goal of landscape design is to make a soft landing and return to the local culture under the avant-garde appearance associated with it. The project is located on the shore of Xiang Lake. The observation method of natural emotion in traditional Chinese painting of landscape design is based on the gesture description of water in Water Map by Ma Yuan in the Southern Song Dynasty, and the form of water is translated into the site language to create a commercial place with regional cultural expression.
