Shanghai Shipyard Riverside Greenland

As the core area of the world-class waterfront public space, the 1862 old shipyard is preserved in the site. The landscape design concerns site environment, respects history, integrates the future, breaks the traditional flood control disciplines, by connecting the higher terrace with slope to reach the balanced relationship between water and land. In the design process, landscape architects employing geometric lines to outline the road network, form multi-functional partitions, create open space and present a broad view on site. The modern image and space experiences of the outdoor plaza (Ship Cradle Event Plaza) is enhanced by the combination of reflecting pools and cascade steps, in which integrates aesthetics, functions, culture and publicity all together. Moreover, the introduction of various art performance and entertainment activities constantly bring the fresh vigor and vitality to site.
