Changsha Xun Long River Core Town

The project is planned to be a self-sufficient new town with reserved local countryside characters and a new tourism function, which becomes the first new rural urbanization model for demonstration.

2. Green Healthy Living Community

Taking advantage of the terrain and considering the overall spatial environment, natural mountains unfit for construction are built into mountain parks and greenbelts to add interests to tourism and living.

3. Core Town Central Area

Along the east-west main road are public facilities. Completed municipal, living, educational, tourism and commercial facilities shall provide fast and convenient services to both villagers and tourists. Local Chinese style, white walls and gray tiles, and Chinese architectural language for details are translated into the project, while local materials are used, to build a feature town full of regional characteristics and a strong sense of belonging.

4. Famers Resettlement Area

More than 600 villagers lived here before will be relocated in the new town, so it should be designed with reasonable consideration of housing, living and farming requirements of the villagers to build a win-win situation. Village villas are designed to be shops in front and household behind with separated entrances. Facades of the villas shall show design language and details translated from local traditional architecture, providing possibilities for tourism. With housing integrates commerce, living and tourism, villagers will see a dramatic improvement in their living quality.
