Salisbury Garden

Salisbury Garden located on the Victoria Harbour waterfront inspires social interaction and cultural exchange in the city. The revamp transformed an underutilized and enclosed garden into a welcoming public space, creating a new harbour front destination with a rich cultural and artistic ambience.

The newly-developed glass pavilion and oval-shaped lawn provide space for exhibition of works of art, events and performances. Area next to the waterfront is highlighted by an artistic trellis which extends over a mini-amphitheatre with wide seating steps built around it, allowing the public to enjoy a panoramic view of Victoria Harbour. Garden Restroom, a public lavatory in Salisbury Garden, provides a dynamic spatial experience for visitors while creating a ‘visual surprise’ for those looking at the structure. The design challenges the boundary between public and private space by bringing in natural surroundings into the interior while maintaining a sense of privacy to optimize user experience
