Yew Wah International School

Yew Wah International School is located in Tongxiang City, Zhejiang province. Different form Chinese traditional school, this project shows a new possibility of  education buildings.

  Corridor, connecting different buildings on the second floors created a belt of sumi-public space, helping melting the boundaries between different buildings and encouraging communications. Inside each building, aisles are partly scaled-up , forming communication corners and exhibition corners. More communications\activities and learning take part in these spaces, shouldering roles of classrooms.

Steps and ramps can be easily seen in many public spaces, promoting NEAT (non exercise activity thermogenesis ).
