WISHING STAR PARK

Wishing Star Park: Wings Over Wishing Star: A Migratory Haven in Shanghai Wishing Star Park Disney, located in Pudong, Shanghai, within Shanghai Disney Resort and adjacent to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, is a 50-hectare (approximately 120-acre) lake and lakeside public park conceived as a tranquil counterbalance to the resort’s high-energy attractions. Designed through a collaboration led by Walt Disney Imagineering and Landscape Architects Design Land Collaborative (DLC) & Justin Jencks of Greenspace Ltd., with Shanghai Shendi Group and Shanghai Xian Dai Architectural Design Group under the principle “Authentically Disney, Distinctly Chinese,” the park has evolved into a significant urban habitat supporting wetland and woodland ecosystems. Today, it serves as an important sanctuary along regional migratory flyways, home to 128 identified bird species, with over 51,943 individual birds recorded through ongoing ecological monitoring.
