As the fourth-generation masterpiece of China Merchants Shekou’s “Xixu” series, this landmark project at the source of Shanghai’s Wusong area masterfully blends the essence of Shanghai’s Haipai modernity with local cultural heritage.
From the very beginning, Haosen Design drew inspiration from the architectural texture of old Shanghai’s Shikumen lanes and the refined elegance of metropolitan life. Channeling the exclusive ambiance of a five-star hotel’s VIP lounge, the design incorporates elements like antique bronze, curved forms, and natural stone into spaces such as the luminous lobby and central transit hub. Through the interplay of light, shadow, and materials, it recreates the sophistication and luxury of the Haipai lifestyle, crafting a homecoming aesthetic that truly resonates with Shanghai’s urban character—turning the final step of coming home into a journey through an art gallery.
