Suzhou MixC World is a 140,000 sqm mixed-use retail destination in Suzhou’s historic Shilu district, reimagined by Lead8 as a dynamic, street-led commercial landmark. Through retail planning, façade architecture and interior design, the project transforms an existing asset into a porous urban environment that invites movement, discovery and everyday connection. Inspired by the Gusu Prosperity Scroll and Suzhou’s garden heritage, the scheme layers streets, plazas and courtyards into a richly connected spatial network. Rather than a conventional enclosed mall, it delivers a vibrant, human-scaled retail experience rooted in local identity, operational flexibility and long-term relevance, while creating a destination that feels both unmistakably Suzhou and confidently contemporary.
