PAST INSPIRE THE FUTURE (DEMONSTRATION AREA)

Inspired by the unique natural landscape and cultural ambiance of western Sichuan, Chengdu falls within the traditional category of “western Sichuan”. The design aims to continue the natural thread of western Sichuan within the city, allowing the language of the land to be recorded and expressed through the design. With “forest stream scenery” as the ideal setting, it echoes modern people’s inner desire to return to nature and pursue seclusion. Reproducing native landscapes such as mountains, streams, canyons, and shallow waters is a contemporary translation of the natural philosophy of western Sichuan and a modern presentation of life aesthetics. Through elements like moss, streams, and trees, an inherently harmonious natural ecology is constructed, blending urban simplicity with original vitality, making the community a poetic extension of forest and city.
