JIANFA HAIYAO

Inspired by the “Duguang Wilderness” from Classic of Mountains and Seas, C&D Haiyao weaves Chengdu’s mountain–water urban fabric into a spatial framework defined as “Northern Mountains, Southern Waters, and Jianmu at the Center.” Within this structure, the project achieves a seamless unity of mythic storytelling, contextual resonance, and immersive spatial experience. At its heart, the Jianmu Jade Pool Courtyard unfolds as a four-layered vertical landscape, where architecture and terrain interlace in sculpted depth. To the north, the Fuguang Meadowland spans nearly 3,000 square meters of preserved woodland, where open lawns, ancient trees, and monumental stones compose a tranquil, primordial field. To the south, the Sea of Stellar Whorls draws from ancient Shu astronomical motifs, shaping a shallow reflective pool paved with handcrafted mosaics, evoking a mysterious aquatic realm. To the east, the Luan Bird Grove is anchored by mature nanmu trees, accompanied by covered corridors.
