HEIFEI YUEXIU NATURALISTIC MANSION (DEMONSTRATION AREA)
Yuexiu Guanyue, situated in the heart of Hefei’s Binhu New District, embodies the concept of “urban seclusion”—a sanctuary of tranquility amidst the city’s dynamism. Drawing inspiration from the Ming Dynasty scholar Wang Tingne’s “Zuoyin Garden” (Garden of Reclusive Meditation), the design integrates elements of classical Chinese gardens, Huizhou-style architectural motifs, and the serenity of mountain springs. The spatial composition revives the layered progression of traditional Chinese courtyard estates, while its architecture poetically echoes the timeless aesthetics of “white walls, dark-tiled roofs, jade-green eaves, and winding corridors adorned with lattice windows and floral tracery”. Through contemporary design language, the project reinterprets China’s cultural reverence for nature-infused living, crafting personalized sanctuaries that balance heritage, individuality, and harmony with the natural world.
