SHANGHAI BAOSHAN LONG BEACH WINDER TOWER COMPLEX
The Shanghai Baoshan Long Beach Winder Tower Complex project won an international architectural design competition to solicit innovative proposals to reimagine the former Shanghai Port Group site at the Yangtze River gateway in northeastern Shanghai. Situated at the Yangtze River estuary, adjacent to the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, the project transforms the former industrial port into a dynamic cultural and commercial complex spanning 10 waterfront plots in Baoshan District. The Winder Tower Complex site includes the 180m tower itself, a 120m Grade-A office building, a 300-key five-star hotel, retail spaces, and a 1,027-seat concert hall. By integrating urban activities with essential infrastructure, the project establishes a landmark that blends functionality with lasting cultural significance.
