IDYLLIC VALLEY – SHAJING SUB-DISTRICT MINZHU COMMUNITY NINE – YEAR CONSISTENT SCHOOL

The project is located in the central and western part of Shajing Sub-district, Bao ‘an District, Shenzhen City. The surrounding area has gradually evolved from the former urban fringe where “fishermen sing at dusk and the sea serves as land” into an international urban district. The site area is approximately 44,000 square meters, and the scale is a nine-year compulsory education school with a total construction area of 81,000 square meters. The plan takes the site memory of the pastoral texture as its design inspiration. Through a ribbon-shaped multi-story three-dimensional multi-courtyard space, distinctive public teaching buildings, and the overlapping primary and secondary school teaching clusters on both sides, it forms an open shared green valley urban landscape corridor, creating a school of green valley that allows students grows freely like a idyll in Shajing.
