ZHANGJIANG SCIENCE GATE TWIN TOWERS

Located in Shanghai’s Zhangjiang Science City, the Zhangjiang Science Gate Twin Towers, designed by Gensler, embody the district’s vision of becoming a global innovation hub. The development integrates offices, retail, culture, exhibitions, residences, and parks to promote interdisciplinary collaboration. A layered spatial layout—featuring podiums, elevated bridges, sunken courtyards, and a central landscape park—creates a seamless, three-dimensional public realm. Inspired by water and light, the tapering towers feature metallic fins and a dynamic façade that symbolizes innovation. Aligned with Gensler’s net-zero goals, the project adopts sustainable strategies such as solar-integrated glass, green terraces, and microclimate-responsive design, setting a new benchmark for ecological high-rise development.
