SHENZHEN GANGXIA NORTH TRANSPORT HUB

Gangxia North Comprehensive Transportation Hub, located in Futian, Shenzhen, is the largest single rail transit project in China. The design team takes “Eye of Shenzhen” as the theme, the building core patio as the cornerstone, respects the language characteristics of the building space, extracts the streamline form of “sunlight divergence”, and adopts the mathematical principle of “Fermat spiral” to give the space visual tension. At the same time, through the parametric adjustment of Fermat spiral curvature, the modeling scale of each space ceiling is reasonably designed. The design team hopes to build a rail transit hub station that bears the characteristics of “convergence, tolerance and internationalization” in Shenzhen, and after completion, it will realize passenger transfer between four rail transit systems.
