Topview of Gemdale · Shenyang
At the beginning of the design, we touched the feelings we wanted to convey in the idea: a deeper spatial understanding after spatial understanding, a most primitive feeling of changing light and flowing breath. Then, we conceived what kind of entity is needed to be able to capture these touches. In the end, we used the ground as the water and the buildings as the mountains. The objects we saw were cantilevered. We used suspension to create the illusion mirror and emphasize the sense of light and shadow. With its concise design language, low-key metaphorical methods, and the charm of light and shadow,Topview of Gemdale, Shenyang, uses the charm of light and shadow to extend the space and melt the boundaries, creating a borderless space that perfectly integrates architecture, landscape and interior. In the courtyard, in the promenade, and in the water mirror, it is impossible to distinguish between reality and illusion.
