SINO-CHU WUHAN DREAM PLAZA
The client, a time-honored commercial group in Wuhan, aimed to create a nostalgic “Old Wuhan”-themed food district within Asia’s largest single-structure commercial complex. Over 18 months of design development and on-site coordination, we transformed a 3,300-square-meter basement level into a retro 1980s-1990s Wuhan streetscape. By integrating the city’s unique Tri-Town culture, historic wharf heritage, bustling commerce, and local folk traditions into the district’s design, we crafted an immersive environment where visitors can wander through alleyways, savor authentic flavors, and experience the city’s golden era. The result is a distinctive consumption space that fosters emotional connections for out-of-town visitors while evoking deep nostalgia among Wuhan locals.
