NEW BUND 31 PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

The interior design concept for the project is ‘the Arena’, ,where lighting serves as a contemporary homage to traditional spatial imagination. The arches are illuminated by customized wall washers, allowing lighting to spill from the stacked layers of arches. When visitors navigate through the space, they assume dual roles— both observer and performer— such that the atrium itself becomes another stage. In the auditorium, the lighting of arched texture presents a more flexible and dynamic state. Backlit lighting from grille is programmed to synchronize with the music, enhancing the pre-performance anticipation and creating a unique performance experience.
