The proposed project is located at Hongpailou, a time-honored area in Chengdu with a history dating back to the Qing dynasty. As part of a southwestern city known for its locals’ leisurely lifestyle, Hongpailou bears witness to the convergence of bygone times and modern days. It has left an indelible mark on the city’s tea culture and the social lives of local people who have embraced a slow-paced stress-free lifestyle.

Aspired to fostering a neighborhood with style and class, the project offers thoroughly-planned functions, which will bring out the homely highlights of the neighborhood and encourage its residents to get to know one another. To facilitate such a creatively-envisioned social network, the project designers have used floor height to the fullest and repurposed fragmented space. With their endeavor of thinking out of the box and ingenious visual beautification, the designers have created a community that shares more than just lifestyle.
